Evan Harrison

Successfully leading the transformation from traditional to digital media and receiving one accolade after the next, Executive Vice President of Clear Channel Radio and President of the Digital Division, Evan Harrison continues to make waves in the media industry. Prior to landing his first break in the mailroom at BMG, Harrison had already worked at an array of media companies learning every facet of the business at the ground level. After multiple promotions at BMG he founded the Digital Marketing department and led innovations such as partnering with AOL, Yahoo and MSN to promote new releases from the portal's "Welcome Screens". Soon after, Harrison moved to AOL Music and created programs such as 'First Listen' which debuted many of the biggest hits between '01-'04 exclusively on AOL 24 hours before they were available on radio or any other media outlet. "First Listen" won the first MidemNet innovation award, beating out Apple's iPod and Rhapsody, and Harrison was soon promoted to VP and GM of AOL Music. Most recently, at Clear Channel Radio, Harrison led and inspired a traditional media company into the digital world, amassing a digital audience of 30MM visitors per month while creating a meaningfully cash flow positive business. As a direct result of Harrison's brave new digital world, Clear Channel was the first radio company to create complimentary programming beyond streaming for its digital properties: "Stripped" became a staple concert series for artists to perform a cover song, and "NEW!" helps both developing and unsigned artists reach radio audiences. The latest break-thru has been the undeniable success of the iheartradio app downloaded by more than 10MM people. As an eighteen year media veteran, Harrison was recognized in Advertising Age's "Entertainment A-List," Mediaweek's "50 Most Indispensable Executives", and Details' "50 Most Powerful Men under 38." Evan joined the board of directors in 2010 as an independent, voting member.
